The Gujranwala Waste Management Company was established under Section (42) of the Companies Ordinance 1984, with a clear mission:
GWMC operates under the Local Government & Community Development Department, Government of Punjab. The company is responsible for waste collection, landfill management, recycling, and maintaining urban sanitation services in Gujranwala and surrounding tehsils.
