The Government of Punjab, Directorate General of Literacy & Non-Formal Basic Education, has announced new opportunities for teachers across 36 districts of Punjab. Under the Project Phase-II titled “Establishment of Adult Literacy Centers in Punjab (Read, Write, Thrive)”, online applications are invited from eligible candidates who are passionate about spreading education and literacy among adults.

How to Apply
- Visit the official website of the Directorate General of Literacy & Non-Formal Basic Education, Punjab at https://literacy.punjab.gov.pk (official link to be used for registration).
- Follow the registration process carefully. A video tutorial is also available on the department’s website to guide applicants step-by-step.
- Teachers will be selected for different categories of Adult Literacy Centers (ALCs) such as:
- General
- Health
- Agriculture
- Livestock
- Prison
- Mines & Minerals
Terms & Conditions
- Contract Duration: Teachers will be appointed purely on a part-time, time-bound, or honorary contract basis for a period of 6 months (non-extendable).
- Location: The appointment will be made within the candidate’s district, tehsil, or union council of permanent residence.
- Responsibility: The selected teacher will arrange one suitable room for setting up the Adult Literacy Center in coordination with the concerned Literacy Mobilizer.
- Last Date to Apply: 18th October 2025 (Saturday)
- Application Mode: Only online applications will be accepted. Submissions by hand, courier, or postal service will not be entertained.
